Description:

Residents of ALPHA House receive free therapeutic counseling, case management and life skills education along with food, housing and medical care. The program promotes each woman’s commitment to herself and to her child.
**We DO NOT serve families or pregnant women who also have additional children.**

Transitional Living Program (a resident can stay up to 18 months after child is born) for homeless women, teens with crisis pregnancies and new mothers with infants under 9 months.
Comprehensive support services provided in order to increase self-sufficiency include education, counseling, case management, life skills education, and peer education training.

Hours:

Office: 9:00a-4:00p, Monday-Friday;
Residence: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week;

Intake Process:

Client or referring agency is to call first, then potential client must complete an initial assessment interview either in person or over the phone.
If accepted and spaces are available, a move-in date is scheduled. If no spaces are available, client is placed on a waiting list.

Program Fees:

None at intake, residents must pay a small percentage of their income as rent once income is established.

Eligibility:

Homeless women and teens ages 14-41 who are pregnant or have an infant under 9 months old, and NO additional children. Cannot accommodate persons with on-going/current substance abuse or serious mental health problems (must be sober for 6 months). All residents must participate in educational or vocational training program of their choice while residing at ALPHA and must be willing to work.
